that is how they are called, coming from the Chinese word for astronaut. The composition of this word is the following:
- TAI – huge, empty
KONG – room
REN – person/ people

The project of Taikonauts does not consist only of musicians or producers. Due to cooperation with artists of different music genres and various video-artists often remarkable live-performances are initiated. The close connection to the Animee-and Demoscene – which is the underground style of the future – finally forms the frame of creativity and the accepting of taking risks to new methods. With their long international experience as Club-DJs and their different personal demands and passions, they bring their characters with help of word, vision and sound in new line.

TAIKONAUTEN
...werden sie genannt, dem chinesischen Wort für Astronauten entstammend. In seiner Bedeutung setzt sich dieses Wort wie folgt zusammen :
- TAI - groß / leer
KONG - Raum
REN - Mensch/ -en
"MENSCHEN IN EINEM GROSSEN, LEEREN RAUM".
Keiner weiß woher, keiner weiß warum, aber plötzlich standen sie im Raum. Menschen in einem großen, leeren Raum – die Taikonauten. Sie veranlassen das Publikum zu einem selten gewordenen Phänomen – Aufmerksamkeit. Audio-Visuelle Kommunikation nennt man das in neudeutsch und es kommt an. Mehr noch, es wirft Fragen auf, denn die Inhalte gehen bei genauer Betrachtung im Zusammenspiel mit der elektronischen Musik über das ‚Normalmaß’ der aktuellen Popkultur hinaus.
Das Taikonauten-Projekt bildet keinen festen Musiker- oder Produzentenstamm. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Künstlern der unterschiedlichsten Musikgenres und verschiedenen Video-Artists, werden oft außergew&uoml;hnliche Live-Performances initiiert. Diese können von nun an als DJ- und Live-Sets in verschiedenen Clubs performed werden.
