Formed in 1980 by Gabor Kukovecz, Tibor Varga and Endre Paksi under the name of Kommando. In 1982 József Kalapács became the offical singer and they started using the monicker Pokolgep (Hell machine). Endre decided to leave the band (founding Ossian) and György Pazdera became his substitute and also László Nagyfi (guitars) and Laci Pazdera (drums) joined the band. Using scenographic equipment and costums and playing in more and more shows, in the years '84-'85 they started to become popular among the Hungarian metal scene, so they obtained a contract with Hungaroton Records. In the following years they released "Totalis metal" (1986) and Pokoli SzÃnjáték (1987), that were a huge success, as their next gigs. In 1990 József Kalapács and László Nagyfi decided to leave the band, in order to form a new one, named Omen, then Kalapacs will form a new band with his same name. A commemorative show in Budapest was recorded and filmed in 1995 entitled "Utolsó Merénylet" (you can see some videos in the blog). The new singer became Joe Rudán and, before Péter Kun (R.I.P.), then Norbert Jung, became the new guitar players. In 1991 and 1992 the band recorded "Adj új erot" and "Vedd El Ami Jár!", and again another big hits were born. But at that time Norbert Jung, György Pazdera, and László Tarcza left the band, so Babor and Rudan continued playing togheter, under the nick of Gep, releasing a self-titled album in 1985. In the year 1998 they reformed (with Laszló Laris and Ede Szilágyi), played in a metal fest with Ossian and Omen. It followed the new album "Csakazértis" in 2000 (then releasing in 2001 as an english version) and, with the entry of Csaba Pintér and Dávid Nagy, "Monumentum" and "Te Sem Vagy Más" (2002) and "A Túlélõ" (2004). In 2006 Csaba "Csibe" Czébely joined the band instead of Ede Szilágyi and the band released "Oblatio" (2006) and "Pokoli mesék" (2007).
