Please don't be offended if you think I am referring to you. These Noonatics I am referring to are from all over the country and will be making a pilgrimage to Van Wert for Saturday's Herman's Hermits concert starring Peter Noone. The Peter Noone fan club is recognized as one of the largest in the world. Each year, they travel to a couple choice performances to have a formal gathering of the fan club. I know that currently we have Noonatics traveling from as far away as Canada and the state of Delaware.
While talking with ticket buyers on the phone or in person at the box office, I ask what makes a Peter Noone concert so good. They all respond that Peter is just such a great entertainer and that he makes his concerts fun for everyone. In today's world with everything going on, it is sometimes good to put worries behind you and just enjoy life for awhile.
Some of you may recall songs from the times referred by music scholars of Pop Music as the British Invasion. Groups such as the Beatles, Dave Clark 5, Animals, and Herman's Hermits, just to name a few, changed the face and sound of pop music in the States. Do you realize that when Peter Noone started becoming a recognized force in pop music as lead singer of Herman's Hermits, he was just 15 years old? That's pretty young to be leaving your home (Britain) and coming to the United States to make a music career. It is a real interesting study of music from the 60's and 70's.
You will hear songs like "Henry VIII, I Am", "Mrs. Brown, You have a Lovely Daughter, There's a Kind Of Hush, just to name a few.Myspace Layouts
