About Me

Matt Gerhardt was concieved and nine months later was born on July 2 1985. The first 17 years of his life were a dark time in his life. They were filled with school, wrestling, and being a hoodlum. Then he picked up a guitar and all that changed. He gained a passion for music, and started to learn his instrument. He learned a few songs and then wrote some of his own. He didn't realize how good he was until his best friend, now Pvt. 2nd class Michael Christopher Davis said "dude, your tunes are pretty bitchin. Matthew has not stopped playing since. Matt began to play music at open mics and started rehearsing, but due to an unfortunate incident with a meteor he lost his drummer, and his bass player moved to kentucky to grow corn and drink whiskey (we miss you Colonel). Then Matt met a young drummer named Jefe, and through Jefe he met his current bass player, Sour Note J, who lays lines fatter than a coke dealer. Then pieces of Brian J Intriary were mailed to sarasota from various parts of America. His arms from Colorado, his head and feet from New York, and his torso and legs swam here from the Bahamas. He grew some hair and a beard, picked up his guitar and added some killer tone and has not stopped playing since. Then when Matthew needed a drummer he asked a friend if they knew anyone who could sit in for a gig. Garret Dawson showed up with some twigs and a hi-hat, he still lays down the beats for The Ensemble at 75% of their gigs when he is not busy teaching or leaping single buildings in a tall bound.
