About Me

My Testimony:
I was born on Nov. 30, 1973 in Camden, NJ. I had a rough life to say the least. I was verbally and physically abused most of my childhood. Alcoholism, drugs, sex, depression, and crime are all part of my family history. I moved around a lot. I went back and forth between living with my mother and father who divorced when I was very young. I have been on my own pretty much since the age of 17. At that time, I was in independent care with the state until I graduated high school.

I have struggled with depression all my life. At the age of 16 I tried to commit suicide using prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, and alcohol. It was the first and last time. I remember the experience as if it were yesterday. I remember that while I was unconscious bc of the drugs and alcohol, for exactly 24 hours, I had a vision of hell. When I awoke, I could still hear voices screaming and telling me to "go back". I believe they were telling me to let others know about the reality of hell. At that time in my life it did not phase me. I did not care about anyone. I wanted to die. I was depressed and obsessed with death. I did not leave a note. I did not give any warning signs. I did not want anyone to stop me. I had a plan and followed it. I did not know it at the time, but God had other plans.

Backtracking: By the time I was in 8th grade my step-mother introduced me to ouija boards and movies about witchcraft and the occult. I began to use ouija boards, practice witchcraft, seances, E.S.P., O.B.E., mind reading, mind manipulation, and many other types and forms of the paranormal and new age philosophies. Clubbing, parties, alcohol, porn, and sex were also part of my daily lifestyle. I was fortunate enough to stay away from drugs. I was, however, addicted to sex, porn, and the party lifestyle.

I was in my first year of college when I was first introduced to the message of the Bible about Jesus Christ. A girl from the college led me into a prayer for salvation. But, though I got teary eyed, it was more of an emotional experience than an actual spiritual experience and conversion. Soon afterwards, I became homeless in NJ and found myself living in a broken down car outside of my grandmother's house. She did not know where I was. When she finally found that I was out there she came and told me that my aunt was sending an uncle to pick her up for a visit with some family in Flint, Michigan. My grandmother asked me to go with her. I agreed to go for the visit. Knowing that I had no place to live in NJ, I decided to stay in Michigan and live with my aunt and I got a job at a fast food restaurant. A couple on months later a teenage girl, Rachel, that worked with me overheard me talking about my life and my experience in college. At that point I was thinking about joining a well known gang in the area, or going to church. She invited me to a Bible study. It was during that Bible study that God changed my heart and my life forever. After the study we went to her youth group. It was awesome! The following Sunday I went to church for the first time. It felt was odd, but I loved it.

It was just before my 21st birthday when my heart and life was changed and I began to live for God. I no longer had the desire to cuss, drink, go to the clubs, and party my life away.

Shortly after my conversion I was serving with the youth. It was there that the Lord revealed His plan for my life. I am called to be in the youth, college, and singles ministry. I plan to use dance, drama, praise and worship, and special music to teach the Word of God. I am called to disciple. I am destined to be a LOUD voice to this generation, making them powerful instruments in the hands of God.

NOW....

I AM a passionate, hardcore follower of Jesus Christ.

I AM a man of integrity. A man of honor.

I AM a light to this generation, a voice that will be heard, salt that does not lose it's flavor.

I am a God chaser.

I am an atmosphere changer.

I am, by the grace of God, all He has created me to be.

About Me:

I am Spirit-filled, charismatic, fun, funny, entertaining, and a visionary. I am extremely bold, honest, trustworthy, and compassionate. I am and/or have been a leader in youth, young adult and singles ministry. I am a servant-leader with a passion to serve. I have the spiritual gifts of teaching, helps, evangelism, and prophecy. I do speak and pray in tongues. Although, I do not believe it is a gift for everyone. I do not believe it is the only evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit. I do not believe you must speak in tongues to "prove" you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Paul says it is far better to prophecy than to speak in tongues because everyone who hears the word of prophecy is benefited.

I like to write, act, and dance. I wish I could sing or play an instrument. I love musicals and want to write a Christian production someday. I also like to do live or recorded online shows and sermons, blogging, video blogging, and anything I can do to teach and preach the Word of God in a creative way. I have written a lot of drama skits in the past for youth groups. I have a lot of vision and creativity.

I hate the cold! I would rather live someplace tropical or where it does not snow. Florida, California, Australia, etc.

In case you can't tell..communication is one of my stronger gifts!

I am a man of integrity and very passionate. I have a great sense of humor. A people person for sure. I love the outdoors! I am very spontaneous, adventurous, and a risk-taker. I have a tendency to be sarcastic and humorous. I am VERY romantic and sweet, if I do say so myself, and I do. lol. My passion is to work with youth, young adults, and singles. My vision is to travel the world with a group of youth and young adults and minister the Word of God using dance, drama, worship, multi-media, and music.

Running my own business is also a goal. I have started on that course already.

I am a God chaser and Truth seeker. Jesus is my Lord, Savior, Friend, and King. God is number one in my life. I will not be shaken. Although I may stumble I will not fall. Darkness has seen the Light and that Light is in me. His Name is Jesus. I will forever let it shine.

Interests

Rollerblading, volleyball, extreme sports, playing pool, the beach, parks, going to the movies, just hanging out with friends or that special someone, and just about anything fun and adventurous. I also enjoy reading Christian books on leadership, discipleship, spiritual growth, devotionals, and some fiction. I listen to Christian rock, praise and worship, and some Christian contemporary music I like to write drama skits, devotionals, and soon will begin writing a book. I like to do video blogs and fun random videos with a message. Anything else you want to know, just ask!

What I am Looking For:

Most of this is ideal but not set in stone. I am seeking a woman of God to spend the rest of my life with. I want a woman who is encouraging. Someone who will be faithful to God and me and lives a sold out life for Christ. A woman who has a positive attitude and outlook on life. I prefer someone who is charismatic in her beliefs and worship. I love a woman who can worship God with all of her heart and is not afraid to be undignified in that worship. I find myself extremely attracted to worship leaders. I also like someone who is a people person, friendly, outgoing, and can still appreciate quiet moments alone together. A woman with a desire for both ministry and owning a business would be awesome.

I am REALLY into the creative worship type. This includes singers, guitarist or other musical instruments, dancers, actors, writers, etc.

WHAT I DO NOT WANT

I DO NOT want someone who still goes to the clubs, drinks, smokes, cusses, and acts like the rest of the world. I do not want a woman who is materialistic and superficial. I do not want someone who is high maintenance. I want someone in the world, but not of it. I also do not want someone who is legalistic and super religious. There must be a proper balance.

My kinda girl!
