You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
- Maya Angelou
"Things happen, and you can't make them un-happen. You don't get do-overs, you can't turn back the hands of time. The only thing you can change, and the only thing it does any good to worry about, is how you let those things affect you."
"I've had stones thrown at me as a kid. I was treated awfully because of the way I dress, and I've seen people turn around and then dress like me. So it doesn't matter whether people like me. It's a strange lesson to learn in life that your differences - the things that make you feel uncomfortable about yourself - are what will help you to grow into who you are. Those are your gifts." - Cyndi Lauper
Ferris Bueller: Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
The orchid you see on the background was nameless until I registered this new hybrid with the Royal Horticultural Society in the UK on February 13, 2006. I chose the name Summer Afternoon Daydreams, and it's the first orchid I named! I'm so excited hahah :-) You can check out the official registration on this webpage: http://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/registerpages/orchiddetails.asp
