Lately I've been feeling, there's got to be more to life than this... so I'm embarking on a mission to find "it". I am a motivated, intelligent, outgoing and very down to earth person. I am very big on friends and family, and have been blessed with the best around. My favorite place to spend time is any place with an ocean breeze, blue waters and soft sand. I am also partial to places overrun with the character history and nature have provided them, both in their structures and people. I find it unfortunate that it has become too easy to get lost in the monotony of the daily routine, so lately I've been doing my best to adjust my outlook. I try to stay above the petty, mundane things that tend to weigh us down, like jealousy, self pity and judgement. It may sound cliche but I've made it my goal to make the most out of every day because life is just too short!

My Interests

Some girls have a weakness for chocolate, shoes, bad boys, romantics... mine is all things unattainable. Sometimes, when my heart is broken, a vanilla milkshake helps.. though nothing beats the reassurance of (wo)man's best friend! I want to fall in love, but more importantly, I want to have a dog. I always wanted to be a singer, but I suck so I only do it in my car. I enjoy learning, if I could get paid to do it, I'd be a professional student. If I do have the chance to return to school full time I'll study kinesiology and nutrition and, with any luck, one day work as a private practice health consultant. I am also fascinated with the study of psychology. I enjoy meeting new people and learning their stories, though sometimes I inadvertently mix and match the details. I tend to focus on a person's finer qualities and disregard the rest. Sometimes that gets me into trouble. I am very affectionate and wear my heart on my sleeve. I love the ocean any time of year, there's no place else I'd rather be. I love bubble baths and candles, listening to mazzy star, warm rainy nights in the cemetery, sunday morning crosswords. I am an emotional extremist. The smallest gestures make me so happy if they are honest. It doesn't take much to make me laugh and I cry over silly things. I'm one of the greatest people you'll ever meet if you take the time to get to know me

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with the confidence to be original. Outgoing people that are open minded and know how to have a good time! A great sense of humor is a major plus. Take pride in yourself and your accomplishments, but please don't take yourself too seriously!

Music:

It's hard to pinpoint favorites because I love all kinds of music... especially if i can sing to it. I don't feel that musical talent is a matter of opinion... I am drawn to talented musicians and am always up for extending my boundaries, so try me, I'm all ears

Movies:

One of my favorite movies is Life Is Beautiful, it makes me cry everytime! I'm a sucker for romantic comedies and I'm somewhat addicted to cheesy 80's movies. Big fan of Bill Murray, definitely talented, can't say he got by on his looks. There are so many... basically if a movie makes me laugh, cry, pull the covers up around my neck and make sure my feet aren't hanging over the bed, reflect, or renews my respect for human nature, then I like it

Television:

has been replaced by Netflix, with the following exceptions: MXC, Discovery, Travel Channel, National Geographic, History, CNBC, occasional football. and, though it pains me to admit this, any show that makes fun of celebrities, current or former.

also I love the Golden Girls

Books:

Again, too many to name. Some recent favorites: BLINK, The Tipping Point, The Notebook, Lucky, The Lovely Bones, A Million Little Pieces, The Devil Wears Prada, Everyone Worth Knowing, Skinny Legs and All, The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club. and that science fiction series Dave lent me.

Heroes:

Colleen McDudek, because nothing stands in her way!

Courage the Cowardly Dog is a close 2nd. That little guy triumphs over adversity like no dog I've ever known.
