I love the outdoors. I hike and camp for long durations of time. I also like to do hikes over the weekend when my time is under constraints. I am a photographer (amateur) who takes any opportunity to advance his skills (especially if it requires a hike). I just bought a pair of snow shoes and hope this will expand my photography portfolio. Other than that running and kayaking are my main source of exersize. I love to watch movies, however, I don't watch much TV. I still like sports, but have noticed that my interest in them has diminished the older I get. Seeing new places and cultures is another interest of mine. I like going to plays, musicals and concerts also...
In general, some good quality friends (male/female) who have good fundemental core values (Friends who are true to themselves and to others, and are not into backstabbing or self absorption). I am always open to new hiking/photography partners. Did I mention that I love Clint Eastwood and can't stand George W. Bush?
Classic rock, opera, easy listening, classical and new age. My favorite bands are Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Led Zepplin, Boston and Van Halen (besides the fact the Eddie is a very talented ASS)
I like movies of all types. My favorites movies are: Chariots of Fire, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Dances with Wolves, Memento, Crash, Once, Pulp Fiction, Band of Brothers, The Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, any Clint Eastwood flick and Bill Murray comedies..
I don't watch much television, but I do like Cheers, Seinfeld, college sports, NFL, MLB and NHL
My favorite books are: Lord of the Rings, Dragonlance, Touching the Void and The Testament (most all of John Grisham books). I like reading about history also...especially about mountain men and the old west.
My track/cross-country coach from high school. He tought me to persevere through things even when I thought the situation wasn't possible. He was hard nosed and stubborn, thus he risked his job and reputation in hopes that he would instill a good work ethic in his athletes (the few that stuck with him) to get them by in life. I respect any person who stands up for what they believe in, and live that way too. I don't like to associate with "big talkers".
