I've never really been known as the most coordinated kid on the block. It took me about twelve years to learn how to clap... on beat. Needless to say me and sports never got along and well, math and sports must have been friends cause I'm not so great at math either. If you're a mathematical athlete, I truly admire you. If you're a mathematics loving sports star musical genius then well... you sicken me (just kiddin').
I love art. I love how it reflects its creator, much like we as humans reflect ours, no matter how tainted our reflection may be at times. Music has become my favorite form of art. I love its portability and ability to communicate a plethora of ideas and emotions in such a small medium. I'm not so great with communicating feelings through words, but music allows me to let go of those everyday boundaries that exist in conversations and just... say what I want to say. I like trying to express things that others haven't been able to express. Being so new in this so old world fills me with questions and new (at least to me) revelations. Writing songs is how I process a lot of those things. I'm a big believer in honesty, human potential, and love. I think the apostle Paul was on to something when he wrote about love. When you think about it, our world revolves around it. I don't know how long I'll play music; hopefully for eternity. Nothing else has ever felt so right.
My ultimate goal for my music is to provide a catalyst for any person to draw near to God through modern day songs he or she can relate to. I hope you can. I really hope you can make these songs your own and not just some stranger's words. I also love watching other people use their talents for God. Those people are my heroes. So whether you're curious about a forgiving God, know Him, or just like the music, I welcome you to take a listen. I like making new friends too... and myspace ones are the best! So feel free to friend, comment, or message me and I'll do my very best to respond.
"If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." 1Cor.13:2.
"We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen." 1Jon4:19-20 -WiLL Taylor
