About Me

Asking about me? My favourite topic! I am currently living in Phoenix Arizona, which happens to be 5 km east of the gates of hell. I am originally from near Savannah, GA... which was a total culture shock moving here. I only came here for graduate school at Arizona State University, but all-in-all it is an ok place. I am currently in my third year as a PhD student study'n fossils. I know what your first question is: "just like Ross on friends". Well yes, and no. I study both animal and plant fossils in order to determine the environmental conditions at the time they were living blah, blah, blah... don't hit your head falling asleep!! Being in school leaves little time for me to do anything else, but I do get around. I travel a lot with the university, and when I'm in the valley on the weekends I try and visit atleast 3 pubs/clubs to remind folks that I'm around.

My Interests

Someone once told me that I am only interested in myself... but that is far from the truth. I also like to travel, snowboard, run around the soccer field, and meet new people.

Music:

I prefer high energy dance music, usually from European artists. Unfortunately, I live in the US of censorship and it is hard to find.

Movies:

Newer movies have become rather boring to me. It is probably my fault because I don't go to the theatre much. At the top of the DVD pile under the TV right now is Dogma, Im Juli, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and all of the John Hughes' movies.

Television:

Right now on the DVR is: Hotel Babylon, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who, Flash Gordon, Graham Norton, Dante's Cove, and Eureka.

Books:

Probably one of my favourite series is the Hitchhikers' Guide by Douglas Adams... well, except for the last book which he obviously didn't want to write and it shows! I also like Good Omens, it's quite funny! I'm currently swimming thru papers that relate to my research... oh what fun!

Heroes:

As Tina Turner says: "We don't need another hero"... look at what happened with the last ones!
