Synical are made up of Brian Haught (producer/vocalist) and Eric Griffin (guitarist/bassist.
Formed by Brian Haught in Georgia, as a solo project in 1989. Brian was heavy influenced by English acts New Order and Depeche Mode as well as Ameriacn acts Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. Brian toured as Synical for many years before moving to Atlanta and discovered Racci Shay (Dope, wednesday 13) and he joined as the bands new Drummer.
In 1998 looking to reach an wider audience, Synical relocated once more to Hollywood, in which Racci left and joined Genitortureres. Ivan DePrume (White Zombie) briefly filled the shoes of Shay. Eric Griffin and Ben Graves joined in 2000 after moving to Los Angeles from Boston and then the band was completed by Brent Ashley (The Dreaming).
In 2002-2003, Eric and Ben toured extensively for the Murderdolls , while Brian continued to write and record music which would later become part of the Synical Anthology DVD (2004). After a 2005 fill-in gig as lead guitarist for glam legends Faster Pussycat, Eric rejoined forces with former Murderdolls vocalist Wednesday 13 with whom he toured as lead guitarist until late 2007.
Eric is once again involved with Synical and the band are recording Quit While You’re Behind during the fall of 2007. The project will be released as a Dual disc release featuring a DVD filmed live in Hollywood at the King King including a new video for Low Quality Guy . Synical are finishing work on Quit While You’re Behind album/DVD to be released fall 2008.
Synical are touring internationally fall 2009.
Brian has produced all Synical songs and remixed/produced many other artists such as L7, PBF, Faster Pussycat, Newlydeads and Cleopatra Records.
Former members include Brent Ashley , Ivan DePrume , Racci Shay and Ben Graves .
