Spit is the brainchild of Eva Katurah and Al Walker. Two poets considered misfits in the Richmond scene decided to collide forces and become unstoppable. Spit has been churning in the under bellies of Richmond, languishing at open mics, and floundering at slams: until now. This will be Richmond's most creative open mic, with a focus on the love of Spoken Word. Spit is held every Sunday from 6 to 9 pm, at The Down Under 11 South 12th Street. 5 bucks
