I love to learn about other peoples ideas, opinions, and beliefs, so that I can understand how their bias beliefs affect their judgement and personalities. I am a very tolerant man who feels that it doesn't matter what religion you are, or whatever beliefs you may have, whatever makes you happy is perfectly fine, just as long as it is socially acceptable, and it doesn't infringe upon other people's rights. "There's no such thing as good or bad, only moral and social norms". We as members of a society must ensure its survival, by following rules and guidelines placed there for a reason, so that there won't be chaos. Now back to "good and bad', I think we need to reconsider the definition of what's good and bad, for instance, we as a society think it's bad to tamper with human DNA, on the other-hand lots of good can come from it. People think geneticists are bad because they "Play God", but here's a thought "What if God doesn't exist, and we aren't the center of the universe?" Oh my God, it's the end of the world! Well I'm not trying to bible bash or anything, but, the decisions people make based on only their religious beliefs, should not hinder the progress of our society, in a political view point(meaning, our government shouldn't make decisions by consulting the bible first). Notice how I said "Our Society", because it isn't just yours, you share it with other people who don't all think the same way as you, and don't all believe in the same things you do, in your book that would make them evil for not agreeing with you, in my book the suppression of rational thoughts and ideas is just plain ignorant. Be happy about your life choices, but don't force your lifestyle down everyones throat, be happy for what you stand for, but also understand others need their time of happiness, you don't always have to be right, take the time to think about how you're acting, and how it affects others, if you do that then we will become a more grown-up society with a various diversity of thoughts and ideas, that will be beneficial to all of us, instead of the ideas scrapped, and burned just because a book told you it was wrong, also think about it, nowhere in the bible does it say that we cannot tamper with genes. Think about the future and what it may bring if something doesn't change, all of it because of religious PsychoBabble. I agree that there should be limits, but not the limitations our christian government has placed. The only rule that should apply is the protection of the rights of people who feel their rights have been violated, their rights should be protected by the power of free choice, if you don't wish to get involved then you don't have to, and should be left alone, because of your right to censorship, just because you censor yourself that doesn't mean everyone has to, your choices should only be yours to make, and you cannot make decisions for anyone but yourself.
