I like live music. Clubs. Concerts. mmmmm. The "Experience". I love the club culture, not the scene. Oh yeah... bands... ummm... Bjork, U2, Snow Patrol, Foo Fighters, DA, They Might Be Giants, Spinal Tap, Coldplay, Cake, The Police, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Def Leppard, an endless list of 80s bands that I can't recall right now and I don't care to list them at the moment. I'm not a music snob and I wish I had more time to just see random bands at the kazillion LA clubs so close to me. If only there was one other creative, music-loving person in LA who wants to have their hearing damaged...

I read lots of comics (all types) and the occasional book without pretty pictures. Favorite writers are Brian Michael Bendis, Brian K Vaughan, Mark Millar, Jeph Loeb, Joss Whedon, Allan Heinberg, Terry Moore, Grant Morrison, Ed Brubaker, and tons more. Comics are defined by their pictures, but it's the writing that it all hinges on, no matter how pretty you make it. In non-picture books, I got the "What If?" hardcover for Christmas last year, which is an exploration of what eminent historians believe could have happened if certain crucial events in history had turned out differently (yes i'm a geek). I love history and fantasy and weird twisty things that mess with my head. And the Harry Potter series, of course.
I also enjoy reading menus and winning lottery tickets.
The people who molded my imagination as a child: Fred Rogers, Jim Henson, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Stan Lee. And these days its anyone or anything that helps me be more creative.
