If I had to describe myself in just a few words: Inspiring Film Maker, Professional Dj, Dreamer, Silent Observer, Manipulative Asshole, Hitchhiker, Commentator of Reality, Inspiring Photographer, Wonderer, Nasty Dancer, and of course a Traveler!
Since my graduation from LSU (Dec 03) I have dedicated all my time and energy to exploring the world and trying to make sense of it all. I am happy to say that I lived almost 4 years of my life with no real regrets! Not many people I know can say that! The self titled project ¨The Johnny Nomad Experiment¨ has been followed by people from all over the world. In the 5 short years that I have owned a passport I have been to all 7 continents and well over 70 countries in the process. It's hard to believe that I have been to over 1 out of 3 countries in the world. Wait a second, Scratch that, reverse it.......I have not seen 2 out of 3 countries in world! Oh the insanity!!!!
I have decided to take a step out of the ¨traveling circus¨ for a bit to pursue new projects. I would like to create something from all the experiences I have collected over the last few years.
My life of contradictions:I tell people all the time I am a student, but I have not taken a single class in over 3 years.
I spent 4 years of college surrounded by ¨pointy shoe girls¨, but I now feel more comfortable around girls who live in vans.
I don't have hair, but I still buy shampoo.
I have very little money, but I have seen and done more then the richest people in the world.
I love mustaches, but I cannot grow one of my own.
I don..t eat meat, but I hate to be called a vegetarian!
A few interesting fact about myself: I caught malaria 2 yrs ago while traveling in the Amazon jungle, I sometimes dream about being famous, I once burned my bum raw on a "nudie beach" in Croatia, I think Bjork is one of the prettiest people alive, one of my goals in life is to have my name in the Guinness Book of world records, I sometimes stare, Radio Head -Kid A might be my favorite album of all time, I would never date a girl who would not think that an ¨all you can eat pizza buffet¨ = a really nice first date, My spelling is on par with a 5 grader, It's OK because I figure I can beat up 8 out of 10 5th graders, I think everyone in the world has a story to tell -just some are a lot more interesting then others, wet socks make me sad, I can be judgmental at times, I like looking at maps, my biggest fear in life is that of being average, I once went swimming in Antarctica with penguins, I am some what scared that I might one day start a cult, I prefer brunettes to blonds, I hate the opera but love the theater, People who don't read scare me, I believe with all my heart it's not my destiny to live to be old, I once got "the fleas" in Peru from sharing a bed with a baby monkey named "Ruby," I sometimes work as a theater light designer / theater tech, I enjoy collecting vinyl (records) and stealing music off the Internet, I have a 1983 Vintage Vespa named "Biddy", Sometimes the world around me makes me sad, I think the Bush administration is the worse thing to happen to America since the hamburger, when I get nervous I sometimes think in Spanish?, I always ask myself the question "why?" I do not like to be around fat girls or taxidermy, I think most people in the world lack creativity!
