Hi everyone! We are Amanda, Yogi, Tina, Jock, Ralph, Mirage, Sparky, Kassie, Tootsie Bird, and Dweezil. We are the rest of LaHoma's kids and are also the brothers and sisters of Drusilla , Yoshi , and Geronimo . We are all in furbaby heaven with the possible exception of Mirage. Our mommy made us this page so we could be shared with the world.
AMANDA
I'm Amanda! I was adopted from the SPCA of Seminole County in 1986 when I was 3 yrs old. I was a Blue-Cream Torti just like Yoshi. Unfortunately, in 1994, my 17yo human mommy was forced to take me and my brother, Ralph, to Animal Services b/c she and my grandma were moving into an apartment. She tried the SPCA first, but they already had over 200 cats at the time. Ralph and I were very scared b/c our mommy was crying and we didn't know why she left us. She was fearful that we'd be discriminated against b/c I was around 11yrs old and Ralph was around 9yrs old. The lady even looked at her funny when she said how old I was. (Most people want to adopt young kitties :(( ). Our mommy still has bad dreams about me and Ralph to this day. She might only have them once or twice a year, but they always entail the two of us being in some sort of mortal danger and there's nothing mommy can do to stop it.
YOGI and TINA
I'm Yogi! I was named after Yogi the bear. I was a Yorkshire Terrier and was really big for a Yorki. I was purchased from a Petland store. I passsed away back in early '02. I lived at a different house than everyone else did. It was just me and another Yorkie named Tina.
I'm little Tina. I was a normal size for a Yorkie. Yogi and I kept each other company while our parents were at work. I was very sad when Yogi died.
JOCK
I was an adorable little toy poodle named Jock. My mommy and grandma saw an ad for me in the newspaper. I was born in 1986. I lived with my mommy and grandma until 1995 when grandma and I moved to Missouri and left my mommy in Florida. I died in 2001 when I was 15yrs old.
RALPH
I was adopted from the Seminole county SPCA just like Amanda and my future sisters, Drusilla and Yoshi. I think I was adopted about a year after Amanda was and was 2yrs old at the time. I was a big, fat, red tabby that never stopped purring. My favorite activity was to sleep in the house all day long. I pretty much only got along with Amanda and tolerated Jock. Sparky and I were always getting into fights and I was scared or Mirage even though she would play nice with Amanda and Sparky. As you already know, my life was most likely cut short and my mommy was very sad and still feels bad about it.
SPARKY
I'm Sparky! My mommy, LaHoma, got me as an 8wk old kitten on her 10th birthday in May of 1987. I was an ugly baby, but I grew up to be a very handsome boy. I disappeard around April of '94, just before my mommy and grandma moved out of the house.
MIRAGE
I'm Mirage. I'm a white GSD and I was listed in an ad in the paper for free. My daddy at the time had to move away. I believe it was some time in 1988. I enjoyed playing in my new back yard! It was very big and my mommy would come out and play with me as well as my new brother, Jock, and Sparky, one of my other new brothers who was a black cat. Sparky and I liked to lounge on the pool deck together. When my mommy and grandma decided they had to move in 1994, the pool clening man took me to live with his brother on a farm. If I'm still alive, I am about 18yrs old. (on Jun '06).
KASSIE'S CHARISMA "KASSIE"
I'm Kassie. My mommy got me in 1990 when I was 8yrs old. I was a 16h, double registered - AQHA and ABHA - buckskin mare. My mommy and I would go to horse shows for show jumping. We would usually get either 1st or 2nd place. My mommy started high school in 1993 and didn't have as much time to go to horse shows, so I got really bored and upset. I was wilder and cranky. So I wouldn't be so unhappy, I was sold to someone else in Florida who did horse shows all of the time. But, one day, they didn't cool me down after riding me and fed me while I was still hot. I ended up with heat prostration, and by the time the people finally called the vet, I had to be PTS b/c it had started to attack my nervous system. My mommy and grandma found out on accident when they got some paperwork in the mail from AQHA stamped with "Reported Deceased".
TOOTSIE BIRD
I'm Tootsie Bird. I was a sky blue parakeet. My mommy adopted me from a pet store in the Winter Park Mall (no longer exists) in 1992. Whenever my mommy would let me out of my cage, she would shut her bedroom door because I was rambunctious and hard to catch. I also like to bite fingers. I lived until 2000, when I was 8yrs old.
Dweezil
I'm Dweezil. I was a stray tomcat that liked to hang out in the front yard and, sometimes, in the garage with my friends, Amanda, Ralph, and Sparky. They put up with me being around and their mommy was nice to me and gave me delicious tuna. I wasn't around for too long before disappearing; I was very old. I guess I was haging out there sometime around 1993-1994.
