<"Let me be" Written about a year ago! >This will be the last poem I’ll make There is nothing left inside of me And my soul is the only thing left to take Fake laughs hugs and smiles were shown And those laughs hugs and smiles were being owned By another guy As if I was the light And he was there to cover your eyes Blind and confuse you to keep me out of sight Now the darkness is my only friend So this now marks the endWho knows? It might not be the last For I know that words aren’t enough for you to understand Let this poem be the last and left behind in the past Let my love slip away from your hands like sandLet all the bridges fall Cut of all the wires and burn the paper Let us go on as if nothing happened at all Free ourselves from danger and settle for another land That is safer Don’t look back, never look back, if you happen to do so Just look at the erased track Turn around and see yourself blind Look ahead of you and you’ll see it’s black I’ll erase you off of my head like you’ve taken Me out of your mindLet me look up the dark sky, and see you as a star Let me just run,.. run away Let me see you far So far, far away that one day you’ll fade awayLet me be the leaf on a windy day Let me be the smoke that goes up high Let me be free, and I’ll soon go away Let me stay and I’ll soon go away Let me stay and I’ll die Let time go by And see the bright fire, but will soon turn dark Watch it a little while more and it’ll die But when it’s fading, the only thing left is sparks But don’t expect the sparks to turn into flames And if you want to light it up You’ll see that it’ll never be the same
