I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

FIRST AND FOREMOST-if you're about to hit the "add to friends" button, you REALLY need to message me first.

IMPORTANT STUFF: i don't add anyone i have nothing in common with, nor will i add you just because we went to school together. i've had far too many ephemeral friendships in the past to want any more. despite how that sounds, i'm actually pretty friendly.

also, i know i have a lot of bands listed as friends, but that doesn't mean i want to hear yours. if your music bears no resembalance whatsoever to any of the bands i listen to, piss off. ESPECIALLY if you're hardcore/emo/wankerrock. (in the event that you think your band really is my style, add THIS ACCOUNT instead).

i don't add anyone with a private account unless i already know you or you've messaged me first. having a private account frequently means you're sketchy and weird. or 14. so no thanks. and which part of "IN A RELATIONSHIP" did you not understand?

so, hi. i'm Jackie. i'm moody, passionate, hopelessly romantic, lacking self confidence, reclusive, scared of life, in love with everything, off in my own world, practical, not as hot as those pictures over there would have you believe, a typical cancer (and astrology dork), a secret hippie, a lover of animals, hard to offend, occasionally depressed, a good listener (sometimes too good), pro-gun, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage (i.e. pro-reality), a |m/metal|m/ gardener (no lost thumbs yet)..and above all, confused and confusing. THIS explains me rather frighteningly well.

i don't take well to drama, stupidity, ignorance, extremism (with regard to religion or politics) or superiority complexes bigger than my own. and if you're not familliar with the term tongue-in-cheek, we're not going to get very far. i'll be a good friend to you and listen to your problems, but when they become redundant or juvenile, i go a little deaf. also? the road goes both ways.

livejournal is a good place to get to know me better.

if chatting is your thing, i can frequently be found on AIM as ArdourSlips. but do me a favor and tell me who you are when you IM me, okay?

Any questions?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Skwisgaar Skwigelf , David Firth, Anthony Bourdain, the guy who made THIS ...and people who don't irritate me; varying musical obsessions a plus.

this is actually more of a "People I Don't Want to Meet" list: those who use the letter "u" in place of the word "you", listen to My Chemical Romance or are generally Emo.

i also despise metal sluts (which, crucify me for saying it, is most of the female metal fan contingent). ladies, let's stop giving Femetallers a bad name, yeah?

oh, and if you send around any of those stupid "myspace is doing this or that" or "save the bonsai kittens " bulletins you're off. because you're a gullible idiot.
