Hooah Art Space, located at 1923 SW 8th Street on the vibrant Calle Ocho in Miami, Florida is a cultural arts awareness program devoted entirely to supporting veterans' causes. Hooah has been established by volunteers and focuses on showcasing art by veterans as well as the artwork of a variety of talented graphic and visual artists who contribute their artwork and/or a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork in order to support veterans' causes. Hooah is a culturally enriched arts project that has been made possible by the combined efforts, solitary vision, and highly dedicated mission of The American Veterans Alliance and The Society of Hispanic Veterans. Hooah is devoted to recognizing and raising funds for veterans in South Florida.
Donations to and profits from the Hooah Art Space go to directly support the Art Space, The Society of Hispanic Veterans, The Society of Cuban-American Veterans and The American Veterans Alliance's Miami Chapter. These organizations were created in response to the high demand of veterans needs in South Florida. Several of their projects include housing assistance, transportation, clothing, kids needs, educating veterans on their rights, their families' rights and benefits, advocating for returning veterans; both men and women alike, and assisting veterans from war zones with mental health concerns, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
