Howdy Friends!I'm John Tomlin. I play mandolin, guitar, and I sing. Been around, here and there making my "noise" for a few years. Along the way, I've been really fortunate to perform and befriend some really great people. I've worked with Vassar Clements, Curly Seckler, and several other cool peeps. Those guys may represent a good example of some of the sounds I draw upon to reflect in my tunes. I continue to work with "A Step Ahead" with Larry and Cheryl Chunn, as well as my own pursuits with "The John Tomlin Band". Check us out if we're near!I have a new CD out for the general music appreciating public's perusal and perhaps, approval! It's called "I forgot to remember". I wrote some, dug up some, and have had some in the song bag awhile. We were very lucky to have great musicians involved with the project: Aaron Till, Josh McMurray, Ross Sermons, Larry Chunn, Brian Arrowood, Ferrell Stowe, Vida Burke, Jon Martin, Winston McPeake, and Charles Lackey. Not to mention - the great Curly Seckler sitting in on some fab tenor vocals. We also included three live tracks from the Heavenly Grounds Coffeehouse days with Vassar Clements, who talked me into recording in the first place.Check it out!JTom
