About Me

MI HISTORY:
The Doberman Pinscher dates back to the 1860's, and can be traced to a tax collector in Thueringen, Germany named Louis Dobermann. Some of the areas that Louis travelled were dangerous, with thieves waiting to steal the tax money that he collected. To stop the would-be thieves, he wanted to develop the perfect guard dog. He created a dog with a bold presence and a fierce nature. He crossed the following dogs to create the sleek and highly intelligent Doberman Pinscher.
The Old German Pinscher (now extinct) -
Gave the black and tan, smooth coat, and energetic nature.
The Older German Shepherd (now extinct) -
Contributed ruggedness, intelligence, and physical and mental soundness.
