First and foremost: my family. They are my entire world. The martial arts. Been in it for 23 years (since I was 15), and have a great affinity for all Asian styles. I'm into being physical. I had a great build when I got out of the service. Trying to get that way again. Seems like I'm constantly moving. I like movies, sketching, and writing lyrics to songs, as well. I'm also very proud of my Native American heritage.
I've been quite lucky in being able to meet famous people. While I was stationed in Korea, I met and sparred with Chuck Norris in my Tae Kwon Do class, and had the DISTINCT honor of meeting and sparring with Brandon Lee. I've won backstage passes to a lot of concerts. I have actually met and partied backstage with the band members from: Skid Row, Poison(my favorite 80's band), Warrant, Cinderella, Bulletboys, Motley Crue, and Quiet Riot. Quiet Riot's lead vocalist gave me one of his band's concert shirts because he liked the shirt I was wearing. It was something making fun of the town that I'm in. I am a lover of smart-ass tees. I'm out and about, constantly meeting new local bands; and am friends with quite a few of them.
I am a headbanger. Pantera, SlipKnot, Metallica, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, GodSmack, Dio, Submersed, etc... The world lost an icon when the Beast stole Dimebag from us. We know he's shreddin it with Hendrix, Morrison, all of em! R.I.P. dude! You are missed!I'm really into the local hard music scene, also: Check these folks out! They KICK! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BANDS!!!! 5 Knuckle Shuffle, Groovepipe , the list goes on and on.... I love the 80's music, too. The glam rock. Poison, Cinderella, Dokken, Motley Crue, etc...
Beat 'em up, Kick 'em up, Blow 'em up, kill 'em a lot! I love action movies. If there is a martial art film out there, I've either seen it, or I own it. I like the Steven Segal films; that's one of the arts I have training in. Bruce and Brandon Lee were awesome, as well as Jackie Chan, because he brings comedy to his prowess. I'm also a vampire movie buff. Some of my favorites: The Lost Boys, John Carpenter's Vampires, and Blades 1, 2, and 3.
There is really only one show that I try not to miss. That is 24. It has to do with terrorists and the counter terrorist methods of a DoD organization called C.T.U. (Counter Terrorist Unit). I like checking out UFC on occasion.
I am very diverse when it comes to reading: I really like action and horror. Some of my favorite authors: Stephen King: horror; Dean Koontz: suspense, with a little horror; Anne Rice: vampires, witches, werewolves, and the like; David Morrel: pure action. He wrote the Rambo series, and many others. A lot of CIA, special ops stuff, etc... Dan Brown: religion and action. Dale Brown, a former U.S.A.F. pilot who has authored a lot of pilot action oriented novels. I also like to read a couple of magazines like: S.W.A.T., Soldier of Fortune, and D.E.A.
The first is a heroine: my wife. She's helped me in so many different ways, I couldn't even begin to list them all. My wife's grandfather, Joe and father, Dan: they were both truly great men, and are missed greatly. Bruce and Brandon Lee, and Jackie Chan. Life wasn't always easy for them; sometimes excruciatingly painful and bleak, but they overcame their trials and tribulations, and not only made it famous, but did it by doing what they love(d).
