I sing and play bluegrass music, beginning at age 9 when I first picked up a fiddle... Music is my passion, and singing is something I never get tired of doing... I am currently working on a demo in hopes of promoting myself, and getting back out there into the music scene... I haven't done too much musically in the past year, but at this present time, I am very focused on my music and very determined to make it... I've had a life-long dream of having a successful music career, and though there has been some ruff patches and some unexpected turns along my road to getting there, I have never given up, and I never will... I play the fiddle, mandolin, and guitar and a little on the bass... I had my own band a few years back.. "Teenage Grass." I played the mandolin/fiddle and sung some lead and all tenor.. We were actually pretty well known... After we decided to go our seperate ways, I began playing fiddle and singing tenor in my brothers' band, "Ernie Thacker & Route 23.." My time spent in my brothers' band was some of the greatest times of my life.. I have SO many awesome memories of being out on the road... I am now BACK in my brother's band, playing rhythm guitar and singing! So I'm back to making more awesome memories out on the road... I am so happy to be back in the band, getting to do what I love more than anything... Traveling & making music for the people who love to hear it... I have written a lot of my own songs, and I still continue to write today.. As long as the world turns there will always be something interesting to write a song about:) I'm just about as plain and simple as it comes... One important thing I feel I have learnt thus far in my life is that you should ALWAYS believe in youself nomatter what, and you should NEVER give up on your dream, nomatter how many odds are stacked against you. Because if you give up on your dream, your dream will give up on you... I think John Lenon said it best... "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me....."
