"There's a $5.00 fine for whining"

About Me

Describe myself.....hmmm OK that requires way too much concentration. If you wanna know, just ask but from the outside looking in people will see that I'm interested in lotsa stuff.

I've recently started training as a FireFighter for the BCFR and the more I do it, the more I really enjoy it. Matter of fact, I think I'd really like to do it as my career.

I currently work in the exciting world of cubicle hell. The Dilbert cartoons had never hit home until my current job. I wish I'd seen Office Space before I started my job. I just cant seem to get the right amount of flair to keep the bosses happy and the TPS reports are daisy chained to infinity.
Policeman Vs. Fireman (episode 5)

My Interests

Saving lives, motorcycles, mountain biking, camping, hiking, road trips, landscaping, mechanical repairs

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who over thinks things more than I do. They make me feel better about myself

Non materialistic people. Life is about the relationships you cultivate, not the things you buy or the image you portray of yourself. How many of us work to portray our selves as something we are not just to fit in with the rest of the "Normal" people?

The "One"- The one woman that’s out there for me, if she is out there.

Music:

I started to say whatever, but there's some I wont listen to. So, if you're near me and I change the channel or shut the music off, yup I dont wanna listen to that.

Movies:

Cold Mountain, Legends of the Fall, Last of the Dogmen, Boondock Saints, Old Clint Eastwood westerns, The Hunted, Tears of the sun, The Motorcycle Diaries, Star Wars, The ring, I like most movies I see, however any movie like SEVEN I have no desire to see whatsoever.

Books:

reading the Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis

Heroes:

I try not to have heroes. Heroes are simply people whom others admire and place on pedestals for talents they have or feats they have accomplished. Bottom line though, is that heroes are still everyday people just like you and me who will fail at something at some point. This does not make them bad, wrong, or failures; it makes them human. Once someone has been placed upon that pedestal, the slightest mistake appears greater than the same mistake made by someone you dont hold up on high. You essentially set yourself up for disappointment by keeping heroes.
