About Me

My favorite thing in the world is people, my second favorite is nature, and my third favorite is music. I think the last one comes from the first two. I'm a grammar guru and I apologize in advance if I rudely correct you. I'm also an awful speller. I love kids and I work at a camp in northern Minnesota, which is my favorite place in the world. I have a weakness for camping clothes and equipment, but also pretty coats and fabric. I'm a perfectionist but a procrastinator. I like to knit. I love watching basketball and hockey, even though I can't play and don't understand either sport all that well. My favorite food is lemon poppy seed muffins and I like extra-dark chocolate. I really want a puppy but I just can't at this point. But if you have one I will play with it and walk it. Please? I can recite all of the U.S. presidents' names in under 15 seconds.

My Interests

Camping, sailing, cooking, knitting, microbrews, sewing, physics, astronomy, publishing, hanging out with kids, helping people, teaching people, photography, really good food, bonfires, spectator sports, board games and snow.

I'd like to meet:

You! Really, I love meeting people, no matter what.

Love & Special Sauce, Trampled by Turtles, Old Crow Medicine Show, Weezer's old stuff, 90's rock, classic rock, oldies, bluegrass, old country, roots, folk (whatever that means anymore), and just about anything except angry music.

Movies:

Television:

Heroes, Grey's Anatomy, CSI, Gilmore Girls, The Daily Show, Family Guy, Seinfeld, Friends, and Cheers, even though I don't watch TV all that much (and actually don't own one).

Books:

When I tell people that I'm an English major they always ask me what my favorite books are. But I've read a lot of good books in my life. I think that I just like books in general so much that I even like bad ones. I've only put down about three books in my life, and mostly because they smelled bad.
