About Me

So, you want to know something about me. I grew up in the historic town of Wethersfield, CT., first settled in 1634. I went to high school in Greenfield, MA and then college in Alfred, NY. In 2000 I found myself here in Cali. I've traveled quite a bit over the course of my life. There have been many states, Canada numerous times, Mexico once, England, Greece, and twice to Israel.I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up, if I ever do. I'm a dabbler, or wanderer of sorts. Look through my interests and you'll see for yourself. I'm a fairly shy and intellectual person at first glance, but get to know me and I might just convince you I'm insane. What's so strange about a computer literate cat?Mostly, I live for today and make the most of what life brings me. I try to be good to the people and world around me in hopes that the same will be returned to me.

My Interests

Music, photography, outdoors, animals.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who'd be interested in meeting a weird girl like myself. Oh yeah, and these guys:

Music:

Almost anything. Electronica, classical, folk, rock, ska, jazz. I'm always open to hear something new. I grew up with music all around me, going to see my grandad, Percy "Mr. Bones" Danforth play all around the northeast.

Movies:

Favorite of all time: The Neverending Story. After that its somewhere between The Princess Bride, Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. Others I like are The Usual Suspects, The Crow, True Romance, Benny & Joon, Spirited Away, Trainspotting and SLC Punk. Favorite Disney film would have to be Dumbo.

Television:

I'll admit, I probably watch more of it than I should. Usually its something on Discovery Channel, or National Geographic and often times its Comedy Central.Favorite shows include Simpsons, Kids in the Hall and The Daily Show. Then there's always the Planet's Funniest Animals which I watch with my cat.

Books:

Favorite authors include Ray Bradbury and Madeline L'Engle. You'll also find in my collection: The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, by Tom Wolfe; Anthem, by Ayn Rand; Tao of Pooh, by Benjamin Hoff; The Little Island, by Golden MacDonald; and Mrs. Byrne's Dictionary of Unusual, Obscure, and Preposterous Words, by Josefa Heifetz Byrne.

Heroes:

My big brother, who's been there for me since the day I was born.
