Stretch started raving in 1998. The first electronic music he ever heard and fell in love with was brisk and trixxy's eye opener. And was it and eye opener, from there Stretch started attending parties in LA seeing all the big names of hardcore rock the floor. At home he sniffed out the local underground scene and began attending those, all the while dreaming of DJing himself but never knowing how. In 2004 a group of local SB artist and Stretch bought a sound system and began throwing there own parties. At the same time one night discussing wanting to DJ with a local artist he was told "man just start buying records, dont worry about decks right now" and so he did.
Stretch quickly bought turn-tables and was practicing at home day and night for hours on end. one problem now, The local scene despised the name "happy hardcore" and even after releasing a few local well mixed CDs he couldnt get a time slot at a party because of the genre he played.
Finally after doing so much organizing, and work and sweat to help make the parties happen and being drivin knowing inside people didnt hate hardcore like they said Stretch made his debut in spring 05 in the Santa Barbara mountains under the night sky. IT WAS A SUCESS!
Stretch has worked his way to the top and became well repected DJ in the local community. Stretch and his friend ZEDD became well know for a series of parties called the MONDAY NIGHT RAGE, A monday night free underground party in the craziest locations. Sucking more and more people into the music he was playing his dancefloor packed more and more at a rapid rate. Known as the only hardcore DJ that could get the haters dancing in 2008 he was playing parties every other weekend if not EVERY weekend, and packing dancefloors like no other would.
Now DJ Stretch is setting his sites beyound Santa Barbara to LA and SAN FRAN and the rest of the world. Playing artisticly composed hardcore sets with pockets of D..'n..'b, or snyth pop and beginning to create his own Beats, Stretch is determind to continue his mission of converting the haters to dancers, pleasing the hardcore kids and putting a ear to ear smile on everyones face.
