I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. I feel that I should mention my faith, although I don't know that I consider it an interest. It is more like a lifestyle; a description of who I am, so there's my "disclaimer."I am a family man. My first interest, above all else is my family. I have a beautiful wife, and a crazy awesome son. Check out my pics to see both.Secondly, I am a preacher. Well, teacher actually but you get my drift. November 5th marks the launch of my ministry (www.armyourself.org) but I also help out with our youth group at Bethel AG.I also love sports. Whether playing or watching, most of my "me" time is devoted to them.
There are numerous people I'd like to meet. Some are possible, some are not. Some of the people I look up to: Keith Moore, John Bevere, John Maxwell, Mac Powell. Others include the late Kenneth Hagin, Del Jones (my wife's father who died when she was a toddler), the apostles (especially Paul and John). This side of heaven I cannot meet these, but someday...
My music interests change. Right now I am really into Casting Crowns, MercyMe, and Jeff Deyo. I enjoy really good worship music, but what's in my cd player (I'm not cool enough to have an iPod) really just depends on the mood that I'm in. Example: today I was in the mood to go old school, so I popped in some Boyz II Men. Don't hate, that's what I grew up on...
For my entire life I've claimed Field of Dreams as my favorite movie. For nostalgia purposes I will put it at the top of my list.I also really enjoy a great epic: Braveheart, The Gladiator, The Patriot to name a few.Oceans 11 is definitely up there as well as Inside Man. I also really enjoyed Lucky Number Sleven, even though it was a little more gory than I usually like. There's the short list; I probably left something really important off, so if you think of it please remind me.
TV? Is that the thing that sits in our entertainment center? So that's what everyone's been talking about!
Too many to list; not enough time right now
Jesus is my hero. I know that it is cliche, but I am being 100% truthful and honest. Here's why: The more and more I study about this guy, the more He impresses me. Normally when I'm impressed with someone, the feeling fades the more I get to know them. Jesus has the opposite effect. I know Him more intimately than ever, and I get more and more impressed with Him every day. He is everything I want (and strive) to be and more. I can honestly say he's my hero, and no one else is worthy of comparison.
