Hello, my name is David Pelzer. Welcome to my page. I chose myspace because 42620588 people have a Myspace, and I thought it would be good to share my life story. Out of 38,000 cases of child abuse in California, Dave Pelzer's was judged the third worst My story is about being neglected by my mother. She beat me and all I could do was wait till my dad got home to save me or wait till she was done with me.
The Bad Beginning
°I had an extraordinary life. As a child, I endured the horrors of child abuse, which included physical torture, mental cruelty, and near starvation. I was born 1961 in California. My alcoholic mother, Catherine Roerva, who singled me out from my other siblings as an object of abuse. I was variously starved, stabbed, forced to eat feases, and burned over an open flame, and I was invariably referred to as "an It" rather than by my own name.
"May God help you, Mrs. Pelzer"
°At age 12, my teachers risked their careers to notify the authorities and notify them how abusive my mother was to me. I was put in a foster home. After being at the foster homes for six years, I descided to enlisted in the Air Force. The only other time I saw my mother, was when I was at his fathers funeral. My mother still had the nerve to slap me, but I had changed. I was older and and i refused to tolerate that anymore. I put up my hand and said to "the mother", "May God help you, Mrs. Pelzer, because no one else will. You may think bad things about me, but I am a good person...Now get out of my way." It felt so good to say that, I started to cry.
What I Was Forced to Go Through by "The Mother."
"The Mother" as I would call her, has done so many horrible things to me. Luckly I am still alive. Some of the things my mother has done to me is she has tryed to poison me, starve me, stab me, drug me, and slap me. "The Mother" never gave me any food or shelter. All I wanted was love, but I never got it.
Survived all Becuase of my Two Teachers
One day, Dave's hands were raw because his mother had doused his limbs in a mixture of ammonia and Clorox. She had done so before, but this time Dave had forgotten to rinse his hands.(David's Teacher who saved his life was interviewed on Oprah Winfrey Show) "I remember questioning him all day long about what was going on, and finally, I yanked his hands from out under him," Steven says. "I could see his hands were raw, not just beet red, but raw."
