The name's George. Not Jorge. Get it? Good.
I'm the only son and oldest child of an attorney and a police records clerk. I was born and raised and still reside in San Antonio, Texas. I love this city, despite the growing number of hipster haters who can't afford to live in Austin cuz they spend all their money on vinyl and clothes from American Apparel.
I play guitar, a little bit of bass, trombone and sing. I used to do guitar and backup vocals (screams and such) for GaGaSdaN, but as of 10-11-08, we have called it a day. Since then, I have begun playing guitar for a new group by the name of Fall of Idols. Look for us to emerge soon. I also play in an acoustic solo project which I have dubbed A Spectacular Failure.
I watch a lot of TV and movies. I am trying to read more, so we'll see if my book craving grows. I love superhero movies and graphic novels. Some favorites include: Earth X, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, DC: Infinite Crisis, Superman: Red Son and the Gambit mini-series. As far as comic book movies: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Superman Returns, Superman 1 and 2, Spawn (hoping they make a sequel soon) and of course, Sin City...oh and Dick Tracy (aka Disney City).
Some of my favorite shows currently on are: The Boondocks, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse and others. I like a lot of cartoons and such. What can I say? It entertains me
My favorite band of all time is the Deftones. They have been a huge influence on me musically. Chino is my favorite singer and the music they have created as a band has stood the test of time and trend.
