Douglassville, Pennsylvania does not breed rock stars. What it does is plant the seeds of discontent, grit, and ambition. Enter Choose Your Weapons. Formed in 2003 by current members Andy Crouse and Kyle Stagg from the commonalities of musical escapism and platform, the two played as an acoustic electric duo for just over 2 years before finding a kindred spirit close to home in Kyle's brother, Ryan Stagg. Ryan took on guitar duties and Kyle moved over to bass forming a hard rocking power trio that will make you move, feel, and dream while rocking your socks off. Choose Your Weapons' 2008 record "Learning The Hard Way" is 13 tracks of all that makes the band great: catchy riffs, honest and poignant lyrics, hard-hitting drums, and all the hooks you can handle. Add to that an indomitable live show and loyal fanbase and you've got the ingredients for a band on the verge of creating mass hysteria and a generation of starry-eyed followersages---Crouse has since left the band to pursue other passions in northern PA. Sean Harrison, a lifetime friend of Kyle and fan of the band has replaced Crouse on drums. Harrison brings over ten years experience and a much heavier style to the group. Kyle has moved back to rythym guitars and newcomer KC Rouse has joined the group on bass guitar. KC has a very punk influenced backround and it blends well with the overall rock and roll sound of Choose Your Weapons. Currently on the horizon for the group is a re-release of their debut record, "Learning the Hard Way" and a special 5 song disc will be included with all new songs. These songs are much grungier than previous recordings and represent the current line up best. These items will be available mid 2010 with merchandise. CYW is also booking a slate of shows for 2010 in hopes to build fan bases across the nation. Do not be surprised when you start hearing more and more about this exciting, powerful rock band.(2009)"Learning the Hard Way" is currently available anywhere mp3 albums are sold(i.e. walmart.com, amazon.com, itunes, napster)under the label Sonic Wave International. CYW will be re-releasing the album with a new label and production company.
