Hello. I currently live in east Lancashire & mostly play in manchester & the surrounding area, however i have also played live in exeter, cardiff, london & aberystwyth...if you like my songs let me know.
A live review from manchester music website : " [...] Ian Adamson's strength is in his song writing and his guitar delivery shuffles industriously along to the melody packed tunes. And that's what they are – he's got a good pocketful of songs that point to a more colourful, playful and sanguine set. With a solo, acoustic strummed outing, Adamson has the hardest job convincing the early crowd. He shouldn't need to convince anyone, as from the three acts I get to see here tonight, his show points to something much bigger."
and a review of my three-track demo : "There’s nothing complicated about the song structures on Ian Adamson’s songs. The Burnley based singer-songwriter adopts more of a busking style, but where many would swirl into an oblivion of trite melodies, Adamson is something of a melodic genius and far improved from his early 2006 demo tape. His modified folky vocal is double tracked, with an octave split between the melody on “All Dressed Upâ€. On “Silence Speaksâ€, a straight tunefulness provides an air of breathy, infectious atmosphere. “Passio†in essence uses a regular series of rock ideas – something part way to the Seattle sound, but played out on an acoustic. Again Ian Adamson’s voice and attractively painted musical patterns are impressive. There are few overdubs, bar the vocals and with the kind of quality last seen from an early career Badly Drawn Boy and local unsigned hero Stickboy, Ian Adamson is another reason to celebrate Burnley’s ascendancy."
