I'm me. Sometimes the part of me I get to show is defined by where I am and who I'm with, but isn't that true of all of us?? What I ALWAYS am: Mom of 2, Practice Director/Executive Search Consultant for a Major Recruiting Firm, Former Wild Child turned Semi-Yuppie? I like music (except death metal and street rap), pool, bowling, history, intense conversations, playing the piano, playing with my girls, hanging out with friends and Cards. Can hold my own when partying - but, I only do it on the weekends when the girls are at their Dad's - and, I don't live for partying, so don't get the wrong idea. I'm responsible ~ most of the time. I was married, now I'm not. I'm comfortable in my own skin, but striving to be better. But, then again, who's not??? At the end of the day, I just want to be the best Crystal I can be. No boyfriend in my life at the moment, not really sure when or if that'll change - I guess it does when it does, right?? But, I DO have a lot of fantastic friends and I've met some great people in the last few years, so I've got a lot to be grateful for!
Things you'd probably want to know about me: I'm an "All-Day" person - I get up early in the morning (usually by 5) and like staying up late at night (done by 2, though). I DO realize, however, that not everyone else requires as little sleep as I do, so I don't wake other people up if I know they like to sleep in. I LOVE music, it plays all the time. I like to go and DO, but I'm cool with staying in. I'm high-octane (all things being equal), I actually AM independent (there are a lot of people who say they are, but when push comes to shove are actually clingy as all get out), I'm addicted to the series Weeds (but, no, I don't do drugs), and I'll do practically anything for a friend - I'm definately the girl you want with you when you bury the body!
I'm not overly "showy" about my life. I live in a great neighborhood just north of Frisco: Providence (check it out, if you want: Providence, Texas)! I have an adorable, little two-story house that is perfect for the girls and I... totally comfortable, cute and functional. There are several parks in the neighborhood that the girls and I go to regularly. They LIVE at the pool in the summer! I traded in the sports sedan for a sporty "Mommy Car" - a Chrysler Pacifica, and yes, I do love the the bells and whistles... still have the V6, even though it's not really economical from a gas standpoint. So, nothing really flashy there, but it's fun for the kids (they're into the DVD). I guess eventually we all have to grow up, right?? I enjoy jaunts down to Austin, and weekend trips. I'm learning to ice-skate with the girls (which, really, is more entertainment for the people watching than for me at this point). Life is busy, busy... but, that's the point... although, I'm convinced that good single parenting is really just controlled chaos.
