WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.....
Sherazta pronounced (SHER-RASTA)was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. For as long as he can remember, he has always loved hip hop music, and at the age of 17 he decided to take this passion to a whole new level. With the help of his brother (FRESHCUT DE MAYOR of TRIPLE CROWN ENTERTAINMENT) he was able to establish himself as a local dj, releasing mixcds in the Greater Toronto Area.
So with each year that passed, Sherazta's djing skills improved causing him to drive harder at perfecting what he loved the most. HIP HOP MUSIC. So during the resurrgence of the Boot Camp Clik in the summer of 2005, Sherazta tried his skills in the productions side of the game. He created a remix of Aint No Comparison for the Buckshot & 9th Wonder - Alter The Chemistry contest. Using vocals from Buckshot of Black Moon, Sean Price of Heltah Skeltah & Starang Wondah of OGC, Sherazta won the contest and with this momentum decided to take a shot at creating mixtapes for the New York based crew.
In January of 2006, Dj Sherazta & Duckdown Records released Boot Camp Clik's Search & Recover Part 3. Following the success of that mixtape, Sherazta was able to work on a follow-up mixtape for the underground legends Smif N Wessun. The Smif N Wessun - X-Files Mixcd was released in May of 2006 and was well received but critics and fans alike.
Now as DuckDown Records "Online Music Director", Sherazta was responsible for re-mastering the Boot Camp Clik - Still For The People album and he also helps the DuckDown family by listening to demo's of producers and artists that wish to join the DuckDown Team.
