A story with a difference, Alexx McConnell is a tale in his own right and his music tells another. Born to play, with rhythm in his veins, Alexxs hands have held a guitar since the mere age of 12. A prolific song-writer with the ability to create music in his sleep, Alexx draws inspiration from the passion behind his lyrics. With songs equal to an epic film, his music seems to effortlessly draw out emotions normally kept well hidden inside. He is articulate and knows exactly how he wants each and every song to sound, and wont settle for anything less than perfection in every aspect of his life. Drawing on his musical ability and character, Alexx has been a successful part of two local Sunshine Coast bands, Baal and dR cHuB. However, has found the most satisfaction in writing, recording and performing his own work. With a professional outlook to his musical career, Alexx dreams of the day when he can tell his unique stories of personal experience, the frustrations of life and love along with his observations of the human race and how people interact, or chose not to.
He has a selection of numerous demo-quality songs and has also recently completed his first self-titled CD Alexx McConnell recorded at home on a Roland VS 1880. Aware that the music industry, among others, isnt so much about what you know but who you know Alexx has created a magnificent reputation among his musical peers and often performs alongside popular local contemporary artists as a session musician. He owns and regularly updates a web page on the internationally renowned myspace and has his latest and most in-demand music available to download.
