Subzeros were formed in the gutters of London in 2005 by long time friends Paul Miles & Spider Cullen. They came together through sheer determination and a common interest in creating music. A potent brew of Rock, Goth & Punk: this band lives life live and that's the way to sample our music. The last few months the Zeros have been gigging around in London and creating quite a buzz with their unique live sound. On stage SubZeros let-rip. True to their roots, this combination of crunching guitar-driven riffs and an adrenaline-pumping rhythm section. this high energy species will rock you with their evolved styles. Spider's blood-rush vocals are atmospheric even messianic. Dark lyrics are nailed into your head with power play guitar riffs. Every song is an inverted cross, pagan fires burn.
The effortless guitar wizardry conceals a perfectionist beneath. Rock-hard anthems, acoustic ballads, resonating rhythms or romantic sombre: an instrument of violence or an assault on the senses.
This is not one-size-fits-all. CULLEN & MILES demonstrate versatility in their song-writing which has a chromatic instinct. Purists will appreciate the complex, purple haze, structures and seamless execution. Not a dud on an album which has both richness and reach:
