Bio
Electronic is a broad statement for a style of music that is so diverse from one genre to another.
Instead of trying to stay in the boundaries of one particular genre, Diistortiion combines his own production and mash ups into his sets and selects tunes that he personally appreciates, leaning heavily on all styles of breakbeat and indulging into Drum and bass, Dub step, Hip Hop and electro. His sets are therefore not tied into one particular genre but alternatively searching for sounds that would manipulate the vibe on the dance floor in a style that he can uniquely call his own.
The diversity and depth to these sets have been known to grab the attention of people who traditionally would not like this style of dance music and keep them firmly planted on the dance floor.
With regular appearances around Australia and residencies at Perth’s best underground night club Ambar (voted by DJ Mag the 42nd best club in the world), Mixed messages in Melbourne, a fortnightly radio show on the number 1 breakbeat radio station in the world – NSB radio (as voted by the 2008/9 international breakbeat awards) and his original productions getting strong airplay around the USA and on Jay Cunnings respected Kiss FM show in the UK, Diistortiion is in a strong position to push his own sound for years to come.

Blue Horizon Boat Parties
The Blue Horizon boat parties emerged in 2006, an intimate event hosted on a boat and joined by a wealth of Perth’s local talent as well as international acts such as Plaza Da Funk (UK). A yearly event organised by Diistortiion, has seen emense success and reputation so much that in every year an event is held, an obvious growth of the party and its fans is intensely rising that a second party was in demand in the same consecutive year.
Plaza De funk had this to say about the party in his Thisisbreaks.com tour diary - "Everyone on the boat is really, really friendly and they all introduce themselves to me. After a wicked set from Diistortiion, it's my turn. The vibe is amazing, everyone jumps up and down on the boat, it's crazy! One of the best gigs I have played ever."
Video of the parties can be found in the video section of this page.
