KXCI, 91.3FM December 1983
Tucson’s community radio station is rocking out its silver anniversary with special events happening between November 21 and December 16!
It’s a plethora of birthday commemorations on air and at local venues…
Live events include KXCI benefit shows, a free KXCI concert, as well as talks given by author/activist Tom Hayden and KXCI’s resident flora and fauna storyteller Petey Mesquitey.
KXCI is also pleased to announce that its members can enjoy discounted tickets to Broadway in Tucson’s performances of RAIN, a multi-media extravaganza of The Beatles’ legacy.
In the station’s continued support of community partnerships, it is collaborating with local venues and non-profits as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations.
On air, the station will be welcoming back past KXCI DJs, profiling local non-profits and inviting listeners to vote on the Best Movies, Best Books, Best Things To Happen To Tucson and the Best New Musicians from the last 25 years.
We hope our friends will help KXCI commemorate its quarter century of broadcasting.
Here’s looking forward to the 50th Anniversary and another great 25 years!
