Band Members: J.D. Leonard
Influences: LIFE. Anything that evokes emotion or gets a reaction. The things that really matter are the things that stick with you, so those are the things that I focus on. I have been Living in NY for the last 3 years working as a professional musician, singer, and performer. Playing shows with the likes of Bobby Rondinelli (Blue Oyster Cult. Rainbow, Black Sabbath, etc.), Ritchie Cannata (Billy Joel, Beach Boys, etc.), Long Island's Jim Moran (Maxine Brown, Stevie Cochran, etc.), and Ed "The Hat" (The Drifters, Dickie Betts, The Chi-Lites,etc.), just to name a few. The experiences that I have been blessed enough to have with these legends have helped to shape and mold me as the years have gone by and I am forever grateful to them. I've had the fortune of working with some extremely talented songwriters over the last several years Like Jim Sells, Don Huber, and Tommy Jones, just to name a few. Collectively they have written for Alan Jackson, Tom Jones, several top 40 cuts in the states as well as Canada and Europe, and even Grammy nominations! These writers are definitely big influences on my writing for sure. I am influenced by so many different styles, shapes and sizes when it comes to music. You may or may not be able to tell, but if you listen closely, the Top Ten (in no specific order): David Loggins, Rob Thomas, Jim Sells, Tommy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, and Aerosmith.
Sounds Like: A mixture of me, the guy I was, and the guy I want to be.
