High Hawk is a Chicago-based 5 piece comprised of musicians representing a broad spectrum of musical training and styles. Their albums and live performances are centered around original music and lyrics drawing from the varied American vernacular and infused with rhythmic and melodic structures from the world abroad. (lately its been a lotta rock!)

Influences: High Hawk has been described as drawing upon the roots of any and all styles that contribute to the American sound. Nostalgic melodies of war-time and antebellum Appalachia, angular tones of Central and South America, blues from the southern region of the States, thouthful notes of Asia, and deeper rounder grooves from Africa all find their way to the foundation of this American Group.
