I like gardening, mountain biking, back-packing, snorkelling, pole fishing sometimes, spearfishing anytime, most oudoor activities, going to the big city once in awhile, going to the Farmer's Market, attending cultural events, live music, dinner parties with friends. I am not really interested in professional sports. Have been studying passive solar home design, and am skilled in agriculture, welding, plumbing, electricity and carpentry. I wish to live rurally, build a house, and create extensive gardens. I enjoy seeing things grow from the people around me to trees I planted from a seed. Every day can be an adventure for those who are adventurous. Growing is a lifelong process for those who embrace life.

The pursuit of my dream of building a rural home continues...

UPDATE: March '08
Well another Season is coming...
It was a long year last year!
In '07 I got the first 3 structures up.
Yeah! LOL! It's an outhouse!
They were only $100 used, cheaper than lumber and easy to maintain. I chopped the bottoms out with a sawzall, instant outhouse! It'll be alot easier to hang out on the ridge without having to do the "shovel run"!
the only house so far...
---------
The Treehouse is underway, the steel for the frames is chopped up and needs to be welded. I contacted Michael Garnier, the reknown treehouse construction expert with the cool Tresort in Oregon , and hope to get him to come and help me mount the Frames to the trees.

In 2007, I had my neighbor over 5 different times to do tractor work, gaining me over 1/2 a mile of new roads on my property. All of which I water-barred by hand. The side-hills were mulched with 60 bales of straw, and I have begun to plant table grapes I have had growing from cuttings. I hope they will establish themselves and also aid in erosion control.
And of course the gravel hauling continues, with 74 loads of gravel now having been hauled for the roads into and on top of the ridge. Special thanks to Murph!
Mr Murph rippin it up!

On going work on the water system took up alot of time too. After an early spring trenching fiasco, the retrenching and burying of pipes went on for weeks, between other jobs. Special Thanks to Wally!
Wallace rippin it up!

But of course the most important work was establishing the Further Up a Tree Memorial Golf Course! The first 13 and 27th holes were laid out and many were cleared to playable state. The work goes on on this technical disc golf course and hopefully the erecting of the memorial info board to Peter Crossman (an early humboldt disc golf pioneeer) will take place this coming summer!
First half of the course!
---------
Special Thanks to: Alex, Kim, Wallace, BJ, Sergio, and especially Eric and Nikki who sponsored basket targets on the course!
Nikki - who lives in my ♥ (and sometimes in my tent)

It was a wonderful year, and I had many fun visitors come to the ridge. Special thanks to all of them for all of their support and help developing the golf course and camping areas.
My neighbor sure has a cool bulldozer!

After such a long and productive year, I enjoyed my 3rd annual trip to the Big Island of Hawaii to hike the volcanoes and enjoy the Aloha of the Islands. Check my Picture section for Hiking Pictures. This year while I was there I took a real interest in Tikis and have been expanding my knowledge of tikis and tiki culture since my return.
I think I see a resemblance!

Update July '08
This last week, I had help from Konrad who climbed 90' up a fir tree to mount a solar panel so I can have power to pump my water out of the tight draw where the spring is. It was a exciting project and Konrad came through with a superhuman effort!
