Hello. My name is Laura Marie Rose Totten....large name yes but none the less funny...and it's mine. Anyways. I am a true Irish America. (unlike you fakies out there!! ;) ) Born in Kansas 1976 moved to Belfast in 1985. I've lived 23 years of my life in the USA in various States but now I reside in Belfast with my lovely mother.
I have many, many different musical styles of interest. It's how I've been since I was about 4 years old....rock...classical..jazz...pop..irish traditional....anything really and I like making it all, singing it all and I love having a million different projects going on at once. NOTE - I have an uncanny ability to write pop songs in 10 mins...maybe I should work that angle! ;) ....anyways.... I understand that I'll probably dabble with every style of music before I die (when I'm 99 years old) and my process is to feel like doing it...and then simply move on once it's done for me..... which is recipe for disaster when it comes to getting involved with others. I've learned to work with others of the same curse/blessing and float around to satisfy different musical processes. When I'm in my 50's I will be a composer.
The songs in my player are for the taking. If you want more of certain styles feel free to ask and I will email them to you for free. I personally don't think what I do is great or up to my standards but perhaps I never will. At the same time I don't really feel protective of the stuff I work on and I realize I will make music and SOMEONE will like it I'm sure....so in a nut shell...FUCK IT!
I made a living as a drum and bass dj for about 8 years, took as step back for 4/5 years and played in a rock band GREAT ANTS . I also got into live recording, producing, drumming, singing, guitaring, song writing and am getting back into the dj world at the moment. This time I'll work with my nature and play a bit of everything...techno..dubstep...DnB...whatever tickles my fancy.

My player has a variety of music I've worked on. "Church Got Burried" is live. Myself singing whilst playing the acoustic guitar and accompanied by my good buddy BARRETT BLACK on the cello.
"Introduction" and "Satelite" are GREAT ANTS songs in which I played the drums on both and was the main vocalist in "Satellite" (yeppers.. I played the drums and sang at the same time live..it just takes a bit of practice and coordination..a note to all you drumming chickens!). I recorded the whole album myself but had the help of my long time good friend JOHN TEJADA mix it down and master it..... thank god he did...I/we (the ants) would have driven myself/ourselves batty doing it!!
"Find the Way" and "Lucid Dream" are electronica experiments of mine. I would literally just sit down with zero clue what I was doing and make a song building one thing at a time. "Find the Way" has live drums and live violin (played by me). "Lucid Dream" has BARRETT BLACK on vocals 3/4 of the way through and my good pal Nick Fallwell from CENTIPEDE EEST singing some doubles.
"Long Distance Lover" is a techno song I wrote recently. (Techno seems to be what I'm writing mostly right now). Anyways....I hope I didn't bore you with my rambling and if I did...oh well...oops! :).
