Mark started out his life in music as a toddler sitting on the couch listening to his dad play country music. He knew then that he had to learn to play. He picked up the guitar at age 5 and began his long career in the music business. He started playing at home, reunions, picnics and parties with family and friends. His dad Dean Ramsey while in the airforce had one of the only country bands by the name of "The Country Playboys" touring overseas playing with greats such as George Morgan and Minnie Pearl. At the age of 15 Mark started his own version of "The Country Playboys" which included members Johnny Hudson and his Uncle Joe Ramsey. Since then Mark has logged many hours on the stage bringing his solid country sound mixed with a little rock n roll to the stage every night. Mark's unique vocals are cleary heard on heart ripping ballads as well as Stone Cold Country. Mark is also a gifted songwriter. He has taken his life history and started putting it into words on songs such as "It's All About The Feeling", "Make Up Your Mind", "I'm Only Looking" , "My Life is Through" and "Girl You Changed My Mind" and many more to come. In 2007 Mark finished an album with Dove records "The Tradition Continues". This album is actually a double length album containing a full set by Mark and also a tribute to one of the longest independent bands in the south, The Country Playboys. Mark along with the late Johnny Hudson and Mark's Dad, Dean Ramsey and Uncle Joe Ramsey were all apart of this elite group of guys and was on the road for the better part of over twenty years. In 2008 Mark has released a new single album "Mark Ramsey Live" which includes such favorites as Swinging, Mustang Sally & Walk Softly. In February 2009 Mark has released two more single albums, Songs From The Heart & Mark Ramsey Rocks.You can get a copy of all three albums from Mark Ramsey's MySpace site. The Tradition Continues is no longer available. On a more personal note Mark has finally found a lady that appreciates his music and stands by him through it all. Mark married this lady in Aug. 2008.
