The Homesteaders

About Me

"We Drink Moonshine when we can get it. "The Homesteaders are a group of musicians dedicated to playing and writing bluegrass and old time music.Their musical interest's are wide ranged and hard to sum up in a few words, however people like Larry Keel,Peter Rowan,Bob Marley,Jerry Garcia,Bill Monroe ,Vassar Clements,Tommy Jarrell,Tony Rice,Hank Williams(1,2&3),Leftover Salmon and many many more, have had a strong influence on their song writing. The songs The Homesteaders write tend to reflect personal experiences or lust for the old days ,"High up on that hill I built my liquor still, come and find me if you can I bet you never will."So as you can see with this kind of diversity we got a few tricks up our sleeves.Just come out to a show if you can and experience some original Jacksonville roots music!!!!!
