Aleister Kelman is a singer-songwriter living, gigging and creating in London. Taught to play Leonard Cohen songs on the guitar by his mother and raised on a household diet of 60s reggae, 70s rock and Mississippi blues, his influences have grown to range from Brazilian Tropicalia to Carribean Calypso to Latin Jazz to 90s RnB. The resulting sound is an eclectic sunshine mix made from catchy melodies and finger clicking rhythms, strung together by an optimistic sense of songwriting.
His demo was recorded across two high and windy days deep in the month of May at Kite Studios. The songs are free so download them, put them on your MP3 player, listen to them, listen to them again and give them to your friends.
Aleister is performing at Secret Garden Party this summer as well as some other major UK festivals to be announced.
