Born and raised in Welland, Ontario, Shawn didnt have much hip hop inspiration coming from this small town in Canada, but was introduced to hip-hop by his older cousins. It was in 1998 when Shawn first started getting into Hip-Hop, listening to Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Ja Rule, DMX, Jay Z, Ludacris, and a few other mainstream artists at the time. Like most young white boys, Shawn was really into Eminem's music, and that was a huge inspiration in his rap career. It wasnt untill 2002 Shawn began making his own music, but it came natuarally, because as a child he always loved to write stories and poems, and even comics. The first step Shawn took, was joining a rap forum on the internet, always posting song lyrics and peoms he had written. After awhile, inspired by other netcee's like neBo, Hosh, B-General, Jae Swift, and others, Shawn decided to take his music to the next level, and start recording his music. At first, it was all fun and games, it wasnt intill about a year or 2 after Shawn started to take his music seriously. In 2004, Shawn's music had elevated enough to start sharing it with his home community, handing out burnt cd's to family members, school friends, and just random people on the streets that were interested in hip hop. In 2005, Shawn started looking for Canadian Hip-Hop labels to send demo tapes to, and this turned out to be a dissapointment as most labels werent interested in a rapper at such a young age. When 2006 came along, Shawn decided it was time to get serious with his music, and this is the year when he released many hits like 'What A World (We In), Gaurdian Angel, Reflection, Listend To Your Heart, and Play That Funky Music,' along with these songs came Shawn's first ever mixtape, entitled 'I Am What I Am.' It was in ate 2006 was when Shawn was interacting with another rapper from internet rap forums, Flex. Flex is the CEO of a indie label known as IMC Productions, and after a short amount of time, Shawn was the newest member to the IMC hip-hop group. In 2007 Shawn planned a few new mixtape releases like, Gaurdian Angel, Superbad, and One Life To Live, unfortunatley all three mixtapes fell through because of the lack of time Shawn has been getting to write and record. In June, 2008, Shawn plans to finish school get his high-school diploma, and take a year off to work on his music career and make some money with a full time job, before entering the world of college, where he will be attending a local college fro Webdesign. Currently Shawn is working on a EP, title yet to be released, and will not be dropping until Summer '08.
