I Do Not Do Tags

Though I love you all very much I do not play tag. I just don't have the time, and I can't assume that 10 friends have the time either! R.

Old Soldier, reformed, well mostly! But don't get me wrong. If I'm a Vet it's More a "Born on the 4th of July" type vet than anything else. I don't like being anti- but I'm very anti-war. Having said that I have great respect for those who risked or gave all for what they Believe. On all sides. Just wish you hadn't needed to. Ex-bohemian, ex-beatnik, ex-hippie {if you believe the press}, ex-traveller, builder, carpenter, cabinet-maker, wood-turner, forester & sylviculturalist, herdsman and cow-lifter! And ex-donkey driver too! Lots of ex's due mostly to age and circumstances but a bit of all of them still leaving their mark!

Now long time practicing Taoist (I'll get it right one day!) Into Music, Poetry. Oriental Art, Religion & Philosophy. Photography. Beauty in all its forms; landscapes, seascapes, forests & mountains. And, of course, beautiful people, especially the ladies! I still love walking in wild places & on the wild side, when able. Love trees, bamboos, beautiful women, and all with beautiful souls, animals and old dogs and children and watermelon wine!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet all those old friends who were at the birth of the 'beat generation' in England, such nice people.

I'd like to meet the poets and singer/songwriters, artisans, artists & craftsmen who's art, and often joys, sorrows & pain has touched me or moved me or taught me something, just to say "Thank you, you're not forgotten nor un-appreciated".

I'd like to sit again drinking rice wine with old head-hunters and dance again with the village maidens when the Twist was all the rage, even in jungle clearings. And to sit again eating curry & rice by hand with old Gurkha soldiers and share their friendship and good nature.

And of course, I'm always delighted to see my son, Ru, 29, a good ol' country boy, Cornwall Style. Into his work, his sports, his games and his toys, and the best thing that ever happened to me. I am intensely proud of him and love him dearly!
