If you look through my music player you'll see a decent selection of some of the music I like. I tend to go through phases.
O.A.R., DMB, Ben Folds Five, Jack Johnson, Ella Fitzgerald, Beach Boys, Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack, Violent Femmes, Guster, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Bogmen. Honestly, I will listen to anything BUT country. My dad used to DJ, so I have too broad of a spectrum of music to list it all here. I'm not a huge fan of metal or gansta rap, but I'll listen to anything and not complain as long as it's NOT COUNTRY!
This is currently my FAVORITE song...I could listen to this on repeat for hours. Dave is just awesome and this is a great song. It was made to be covered. (It's not a great video...the "good copy" had embedding disabled, but you can still get the feel for the music with this one...Dave is just that good!)
