The artist hails from Jamaica, queens the birthplace of some of hip-hops most notable artists and producers {50CENT.JA RULE,NAS}AND MANY OTHERS.She has been singing since age 7 and wrote her first song at age 8, while using the talent that she possessed as a past time. In 1999 she decided that she had what it takes to be a star against all odds. Becoming a young mother while still in high school, most thought she would never be able to accomplish her dreams. In 2002 she began to showcase her talent at talent shows in the New York City area. Armed With the wisdom that one should not rest completely on their laurels, she received her high school diploma. The burgeoning star enrolled in Laguardia Community College to study acting and the performing arts, while continuing to perfect her craft. Her music speaks from the heart of a young girl who was once lost and a woman who has taken her destiny down a positive lane.laura is an artist to look out for in 2008
