Blur The Lines came together because of a crappy skatepark and a mutual admiration for honest music. Wanting to make some changes in his life, Ben Whitlow departed goth rulers, Bella Morte, and began working on numerous acoustic compositions that had been rattling around his head for a long time. Later that same year, Brad Perry and Jon Kuthy saw the amicable demise of their band, Skyline Awake. Ben, a BMXer, and Brad, a "skateboard enthusiast," had been riding together at Crackintire skatepark since 2000. Through a shared obsession with independent music (and because they were the oldest dudes at the skatepark), they became friends. Eventually they discussed the idea of fleshing out some of the acoustic songs Ben had written. They clicked, quickly added Jonny, and clicked again. Drawing from wide-ranging musical tastes, and coming from an ethos of "the song is greater than the sum of its parts," Blur The Lines seeks to create original music that is simply enjoyable and inspiring.
